Story
Rhys Meyers' character (Chris Wilton, a former tennis player) marries into a wealthy family, but his social position is threatened by an affair and the subsequent pregnancy of his brother-in-law's ex-girlfriend (Nola Rice), played by Johansson.
The whole story is a black humor about luck and destiny.
Lines
1. The man who said " I'd rather be lucky than good", saw deeply into life. People are afraid to face how great a part of life is dependent on luck. It's scary to think so much is out of one's control. There are moments in a match when the ball hits the top of the net, and for a split second, it can either go forward, or fall back. With a little luck it goes forward, & u win. Or maybe it doesn't, & you lose.
2. You have a very unique style. -- yeah, it's called clumsy.
3. She's deluding herself and she's moody.
4. wealthy but not stuffy, enjoy his fortune, having a grand time, supporting the arts...
5. You're walking on air, your husband looks a bit shell-shocked.
